At the counter, each line keeps a note, such as 'grey, cracked top-left corner, customer has a backup, case returned with phone'.
Part payment and the agreed price
For a screen, take part of the price when the device comes in, then enter the agreed price once you know the model and the part. There's no separate deposit setting for repair orders: what you take up front is recorded as a payment on the order. The order keeps what's paid and the balance, and the hand-over is held until it's settled. Express brings the ready date forward for a surcharge you set, which starts at 50%.
Customers know when to come back
Every order has its own page with the order number, the items and the ready date. Send the customer that link from the order screen by WhatsApp on your phone, or connect your own SMS or email account and the app sends it, plus a message when you mark it ready with the balance to pay. Today shows late jobs and repairs uncollected for too long, so you can follow up before the drawer fills.
Switch on appointments and customers can book a time to drop off a laptop or have a phone checked, which keeps Saturday queues short. Reports show revenue by repair, average turnaround and how many jobs were ready on time.
