Payroll is part of Business, next to HR, so the person who clocks in, takes leave and gets paid has one record. You still pay CPF in CPF EZPay and report earnings to IRAS yourself; the app sets out exactly what to key in, and you stay in control of what's paid.
CPF, SDL and self-help group funds worked out
Add each person with their date of birth and CPF status, and the app picks their rates for the month being paid. It covers Singapore citizens, permanent residents in every year (including first- and second-year PRs on graduated rates or on the full employer rate) and foreign employees, who pay no CPF.
- Employee and employer CPF, rounded the way the CPF Board does it: the total to the nearest dollar, the employee's share down to the dollar, the employer paying the rest
- Ordinary and additional wages kept apart, with the monthly ordinary wage ceiling and the yearly additional wage ceiling applied
- Self-help group funds (CDAC, ECF, MBMF and SINDA) by the fund you set for each person
- The Skills Development Levy for every employee, foreign staff included
- Dated rate tables, so a change on 1 January is used from that month's pay onwards
A monthly pay run in minutes
Start the month's pay run and everyone active gets a draft payslip with their basic pay. Then add what changed: hours or days for people paid by the hour or the day, overtime hours at their rate, allowances such as transport, a bonus, and deductions such as an advance. Fill hours from clock-ins copies the month's timesheet straight onto the payslips.
Approved unpaid leave comes off a monthly salary by working days. Someone who joined or left mid-month is paid for the working days they worked, on a five, five-and-a-half or six-day week. Notice pay and reimbursements go under other payments, with no CPF.
Finalise the month and the payslips are fixed, with the month's cost added to your expenses as staff costs. Spotted a mistake afterwards? Reopen the latest finalised month, correct it and finalise again.
Itemised payslips staff can open themselves
Each payslip is set out on A4 with the items MOM asks for on an itemised payslip: employer and employee, pay date and pay period, basic pay, allowances, other payments, each deduction including the employee's CPF, overtime hours and pay, net pay, and the employer's CPF.
Save it as a PDF or print it. Once the month is finalised, email payslips to everyone with an email on their record. They go from your own connected mailbox, so they come from your address, not ours. Staff with a login linked to their record open their own payslips in the app under My work, any time.
What to key into CPF EZPay and IRAS
Every pay run ends with a For CPF EZPay summary: ordinary wages, additional wages, CPF, the self-help fund and the levy, for each person and in total. They're all paid to the CPF Board, usually by the 14th of the following month.
The year's pay for IRAS adds up each person's finalised pay for the year, ready to key into IRAS's Auto-Inclusion Scheme or to give as Form IR8A by 1 March. No NRIC or FIN numbers are kept in AQUORIA O.N.E. You key those in on the CPF and IRAS sites when you pay and report.
When someone leaves
Set their last day and the reason (resigned, contract ended, dismissed, retired or other), and the last month takes care of itself. The reminders also show on your Today screen, so a deadline doesn't slip past.
- Their last month is paid for the working days up to their last day
- Unused annual leave is worked out and added to their last payslip, for you to change if needed
- For foreign employees, a reminder to file IR21 with IRAS a month before the last day, and to cancel the work pass with MOM within a week of it
- Their staff login stops working after their last day
Who sees pay, and pay outside Singapore
Only you, and staff you give the HR and payroll permission, can open payroll, and even they can't change their own pay or record. People you only pay, with no login, don't count towards Business's 10 logins, so casual helpers who never sign in don't use one up.
AQUORIA O.N.E works beyond Singapore too. Malaysian shops get EPF, SOCSO and EIS worked out with the monthly tax deduction typed in, and in other countries payroll keeps pay records and payslips without statutory contributions.
How it works
- 1Add the people you pay: monthly salary or an hourly or daily rate, date of birth, CPF status and self-help fund.
- 2Each month, start the pay run and add hours, overtime, allowances, bonuses and deductions, or fill hours from clock-ins.
- 3Check CPF, the levy and net pay, then finalise to fix the payslips and add the cost to expenses.
- 4Email or print payslips, and key the EZPay summary into CPF EZPay.
- 5Before 1 March, use the year's pay for IRAS's Auto-Inclusion Scheme or Form IR8A.

Questions
How is employer CPF calculated?
From each employee's age, whether they're a citizen or a PR (and which PR year), and their wages for the month, using the CPF Board's rate tables. The total is rounded to the nearest dollar, the employee's share is rounded down, and the employer pays the rest. AQUORIA O.N.E does this on every payslip, with the wage ceilings applied.
Does it pay CPF or file with IRAS for me?
No. It works out the amounts and sets them out for you. You pay CPF, self-help group funds and the Skills Development Levy in CPF EZPay, and report the year's pay through IRAS's Auto-Inclusion Scheme or Form IR8A. You stay responsible for what you pay, so check anything unusual with the calculator on cpf.gov.sg.
Is there a payslip template for Singapore?
You won't need one. Every finalised pay run gives each person an itemised A4 payslip with the items MOM asks for, including the employer's CPF. Save it as a PDF, print it, email it from your own mailbox, or let staff open it themselves in the app.
Can I pay part-timers by the hour?
Yes. Each person is paid by monthly salary, by the hour or by the day. Type their hours or days on the payslip, or fill them in from the month's clock-ins if they use the staff clock-in. Overtime hours are added at their own rate, and CPF is worked out on the total like any other wage.
What about foreign workers?
Mark them as a foreign employee and no CPF or self-help fund is taken, while the Skills Development Levy is still worked out. Keep their work pass type and expiry on their HR record to be reminded before it runs out. The foreign worker levy isn't part of payroll here, so pay it to MOM as usual.
How much is the payroll software?
Payroll comes with the Business plan, together with HR, stock, accounting and the rest of the app, for S$149 a month after a 14-day free trial with no card needed. Essential, at S$29 a month, doesn't include payroll. There's no charge per payslip, and people without a login don't use up logins.
