The money itself never comes to us. PayNow goes to your own bank, and cards go through your own payment account. AQUORIA O.N.E bills only its monthly plan and takes no cut of your sales.
PayNow QR for the exact amount
Add your PayNow mobile number or your business UEN in Settings. Every order then shows a PayNow QR for exactly what's still owed, with the order number as the payment reference (ORDER1042), paid straight to your bank. The customer scans it with any banking app and the amount is already filled in, so nobody types S$45.80 as S$4.58. The same QR shows on the customer's own order page, and A4 invoices print one quoting the invoice number.
If you sign up with your UEN, your PayNow is filled in for you. Keep it if your bank has registered the UEN for PayNow, or use your PayNow mobile number instead, as many home businesses do.
Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay through your own account
To take cards, connect your own account with a payment provider such as HitPay, Stripe or PayPal, using its API key. Customers then pay online by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or the provider's local methods, and the money goes straight into your account. The provider charges its own fees, usually a small percentage per payment, and you pay them to the provider directly. Before customers can pay online, you confirm the terms and conditions they agree to when they pay.
Each online payment is recorded once, by whichever comes first: the provider's notice or the check made when the customer returns to the order page. If the order was paid at the counter in the meantime, only what was still owed is recorded and the rest is listed for you to refund. If your provider has approved you for pay-later instalments, you can show those at checkout too; you're paid in full and the agreement is between you and the provider.
Bank transfer, e-wallets and your own QR
Add other ways to pay: a bank account (bank, account name and number, with SWIFT and bank address for overseas telegraphic transfers), an e-wallet number, or a picture of your own QR. Customers see these on their order and tap I've paid, with a screenshot and a reference if they like. You get an alert, check your bank, and press Money received or Not received. Until you confirm, the order shows the claim, not a payment, so your takings are never overstated.
Setting up online payments
Settings › Payments lists the providers that suit your country first, with what customers there pay with. In Singapore that's HitPay (PayNow, cards, GrabPay, ShopeePay) and Stripe (cards, PayNow, GrabPay), with PayPal as well. No account yet? Sign up with the provider, then paste your API key. Tick if it's a sandbox (test) key, and you can try a payment end to end before you go live.
The last step is adding AQUORIA's address in your payment account, so payments are recorded even if a customer closes the page before coming back. If anything goes wrong with the connection, the last problem is shown on the same screen.
Payment links customers can open anywhere
Every order has its own page on your shop link, showing the items, what's paid, what's owed and the ways to pay. That page is your payment link. Send to customer opens WhatsApp or email on your device with the order, the amount and the link. The QR on each receipt opens the same page, and payment reminders carry it too. For a customer standing at your counter, the PayNow QR on your screen does the job.
Deposits, part payments and paying later
Payments rarely arrive in one piece. AQUORIA O.N.E handles the usual patterns:
- Deposits on bookings: set one on a service and the booking waits for it; an online deposit unpaid after 2 hours releases the slot
- Part payments: take any amount up to what's owed, by any method, and the balance stays on the order
- Pay at pickup or on delivery: let online customers choose to pay when they collect or when you deliver
- Security deposits for car rentals, held at pick-up and settled when the car comes back
- Tips, if you switch them on, kept apart from your sales
Refunds, cash-up and where the money is
Refund or correct a payment records money going back the same way it came, with the reason. For a card payment, you also send the refund from your payment account. An online order the customer chose to pay now, but didn't pay within a day, is cancelled and its stock goes back on the shelf.
Finance shows money in and out by week or month, a daily Cash-up with your float and counted cash, and Money owed by age. Analytics shows payments by method, so you can see how much of your takings now come by PayNow rather than cash.
The Today screen lists payments to check, where a customer says they've paid, and online payments to refund. Turn on alerts and your phone tells you when a payment is received, even when the app is closed.

Questions
What is a PayNow QR?
A PayNow QR is a Singapore payment code that a customer scans with their banking app to pay your PayNow mobile number or UEN. AQUORIA O.N.E makes a QR for each order with the exact amount owed and the order number as the reference, so the customer can't key in the wrong amount and you can match the bank credit to the order.
How does a payment link work?
A payment link opens a page where the customer sees what they owe and pays. In AQUORIA O.N.E every order has one on your shop link, showing the items, the balance and your ways to pay: a PayNow QR, bank transfer, or card through your own payment account. Whatever they pay there comes straight off the order.
Who holds the money when customers pay?
You do. PayNow goes straight to your bank account. Card payments go into your own HitPay, Stripe or PayPal account. AQUORIA O.N.E never holds your customers' money and takes no cut; it bills only its monthly plan. Your payment provider charges its own fees to you directly.
Can I take a deposit now and the rest later?
Yes. Set a deposit on a bookable service and the booking waits for it. For any other order, take part of the amount now by any method, and the rest stays as the balance. The Today screen shows unpaid balances, and Money owed lists who owes what, with reminders you can send.
Do I need a payment gateway to start?
No. You can start with cash, PayNow QR and bank transfer straight away. Connect your own payment account later, when you want customers to pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay online. Payments are on both plans: S$29 a month on Essential or S$149 a month on Business, after a 14-day free trial with no card needed.
Can customers pay in instalments?
Only through your own payment provider. If your HitPay, Stripe or other account has approved your business for pay-later providers, tick them in Settings and customers can choose them at checkout, from an order total you set. You're paid in full, and the agreement, fees and risk sit between you and the provider. AQUORIA O.N.E doesn't lend or take a fee.
