A POS system for Singapore that runs on the screen you already have

Most point-of-sale setups start with a shopping list: a terminal, a receipt printer, a cash drawer, a stand and a contract. AQUORIA O.N.E starts with the screen you already own. The counter screen is the point of sale. Open it in the web browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer, tap what the customer is buying, take the money and hand it over. There's nothing to plug in and nothing to rent.

On Essential or Business · no card needed

Because the counter is part of an all-in-one business management app, the sale doesn't stop at the till. The same order feeds your customer list, your stock counts, your reports and your GST figures. A walk-in buying two candles, a regular collecting a birthday cake and a client paying the balance on a repair all go through one screen, whether you sell from a market table or run a shop with a team.

What the counter screen does

The counter is the New order screen. Your catalogue sits there as tappable items, grouped by category, with prices. Tap an item and it joins the order; tap it again for one more. Items with options, like a 6-inch or 8-inch cake or a plain or gel finish, ask for the choice first, and any extra price for that choice is added with it. Every line can carry a note: a name to pipe on a cake, a colour, a size.

Items don't have to be priced by the piece. You can sell by the kilo (type 1.6 for 1.6 kg of dried goods), by the bag, by the hour, or at a price you agree for a one-off job. Give an item its own code and you can type it, or scan its barcode, and press Enter to add it, which is quicker than scrolling a long catalogue.

  • Tap items to add them, with options and extras priced as you pick
  • Sell by the piece, by the kilo, by the bag, by the hour or at an agreed price
  • Item codes typed in, then Enter
  • Line notes, an express surcharge, and a ready-on date and time for later collection
  • Promo codes, loyalty points and stamp cards used at the counter

Walk-ins and quick sales in a few taps

Not every customer wants to give a phone number for one bottle of hand cream. Tick Walk-in and the sale goes through with no name or number: no customer is saved and no messages are sent. Choose how it was paid from the Paid now? list and press Create, take payment and hand over. The order is made, paid and closed in one step.

Picture a Saturday stall: two scented candles at S$24 each and a gift box at S$6. Tap Candle twice, tap Gift box, tick Walk-in, choose PayNow, and the S$54 sale is done before the next person reaches the table.

For regulars, type their phone number and the counter finds them, along with their points, stamps or business account. A new customer is added as you go: show them your privacy notice, tick that you did, and tick whether they agree to promotions. That record is what lets you send a festive greeting later without worrying about PDPA.

Taking payment: cash, PayNow QR, card and transfer

At a Singapore counter the ways to pay are Cash, PayNow, Card and Transfer, and you can take part of the amount now and the rest later; the order keeps the balance. Add your PayNow mobile number or UEN in Settings and every order shows a PayNow QR for the exact amount still owed, with the order number as the reference. The customer scans it with their banking app and the money goes straight to your bank account, never through AQUORIA.

For cards, connect your own online payment account, such as HitPay or Stripe. The customer scans the QR on their receipt or opens the order link you send, and pays by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on their own phone. There's no card terminal to buy, and the provider's fee is between you and the provider. AQUORIA O.N.E takes no cut of your sales.

Mistakes happen. Refund or correct a payment records the money going back the same way it came in, with a reason, so the day's figures still add up.

Receipts, invoices and sending the order

Print receipt opens a narrow receipt in the customer's own language, with your shop's details, the items, the tax, what was paid and a QR code that opens their order page, where they can check it or pay what's left. Print it or save it as a PDF from your browser. Phone numbers are masked on the receipt (+65 ••••4567), so it's safe to hand over.

For a business customer, A4 invoice turns the same order into a full-page invoice with its own number, a pay-by date and how to pay. If your shop is GST-registered and charges tax, the document is titled Tax invoice. Send to customer opens WhatsApp or email on your device with the order, the amount and a link to see it and pay.

End of day: cash-up and the numbers

Finance has a Cash-up tab. Enter your float at opening and the cash you count at closing; the app works out the expected cash from the float plus the day's cash payments, and saves any difference with the count. After a few weeks you'll know whether the drawer is reliably right or always a few dollars short on Sundays.

The Today screen shows sales and orders this week against last week, what's due, what's ready and any unpaid balance. Analytics breaks revenue down by day and by item, splits sales between the counter and your online shop link, and shows payments by method, with a CSV download for your accountant.

More than one counter, or a team

On Essential, the counter is yours: the owner's account and one location. Business adds staff logins with roles and permissions, up to 10 logins in all, and up to 3 locations, so two people can serve at two counters. Each order belongs to a branch, and an order is locked while a payment is taken, so two tills can't both take the last payment.

With Count stock turned on for an item, every sale takes it off stock as it's made, and a cancelled or changed order puts it back. Stock per location, stock counts and recipes are part of inventory on Business.

  3. 3Choose how they paid, press Create, take payment and hand over, then print or send the receipt.

Questions

What is a POS system in retail?

A point of sale (POS) system is where a sale is recorded and paid for: the items, the price, the tax and how the customer paid. In AQUORIA O.N.E it's the counter screen. It also prints the receipt, updates stock if you count it and adds the sale to your reports, so the till and your books never disagree.

Do I need to buy POS hardware?

No. The counter screen runs in the web browser of any phone, tablet or computer you already have. AQUORIA O.N.E doesn't sell or connect card terminals, receipt printers or cash drawers. Customers pay by cash, PayNow QR or bank transfer, or by card online on their own phone through your own payment account.

Can I use it as a POS app on an iPad or Android tablet?

Yes. Open AQUORIA O.N.E in the tablet's browser, sign in and add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. The counter is made for tapping, so a tablet on the counter works well, and the same account opens on your phone and laptop with every order already there.

How much does a POS system cost in Singapore with AQUORIA O.N.E?

The counter screen comes with both plans: S$29 a month on Essential or S$149 a month on Business, after a 14-day free trial with no card needed. There's no hardware to buy, no setup fee and no cut of your sales. Any payment provider you connect charges its own fees directly.

Does the counter work offline?

No. AQUORIA O.N.E is a web app, so the counter needs an internet connection to save each sale. In return, your orders, payments and stock are kept online and show on every device you sign in on. If the shop Wi-Fi drops, a phone's mobile data or hotspot keeps the counter going.

Can I give a discount or use loyalty points at the counter?

Yes. Type a promo code and the counter shows what it takes off before you make the order. If you run points or a stamp card, a returning customer's balance appears when you find them by phone, and you can tick to use their points or claim their free item. Points, stamp cards and promo codes are on both plans.

Try it free for 14 days, then S$29 a month (Essential) or S$149 a month (Business). No card needed.
